Mud Season Leaves a Mark
Pavers deserve a specific mention up here, because Teton Valley has a lot of them and they take freeze-thaw hard. Joints loosen over the winter. Come at a loose paver joint with a wand at full pressure and you will empty it out, which means the pavers start shifting and you have a real repair on your hands instead of a dirty patio. We do not do that. Pavers get a lighter approach and a surface cleaner that spreads the force out.
Concrete driveways and walks can take more, so they get more. The point is that the material decides, not the machine. Growth on the shaded north side of the house, oil where the truck sits, rust off anything metal left out through a wet spring: those get pre-treated first, then cleaned.
Anyone who has spent a spring in Driggs knows what happens. The snow goes, the ground turns to soup for weeks, and every vehicle, boot, and dog in Teton Valley carries some of it onto your concrete. It dries into a hard brown crust, and then the next wet stretch rewets it and it soaks in further. By the time the valley dries out for good, the driveway has a season baked onto it.
